What is Joy? What is Happiness?
This is a question at the center of attention since years and to start, we need to be on the same level… As you may have guessed, today’s topic will be a prerequisite to the beginning of both IN and EX posts.

One of the most common answers to the question is “You can say all you want but the truth is that money is the solution to happiness”, whilst it isn’t really.


Money


Money can be a source of happiness, but it doesn’t solve all your problems. Indeed, money can bring you certain things and a kind of relief, but happiness is an ephemeral emotion and that’s the sign of other problems to come.

The problem with money is that you never have enough and once you have some, you want more. That’s why it is quite dangerous to consider money as the basis of your happiness.

Happiness is an uncertain feeling, that cannot always be predicted. You can try to do your best to maintain it by frequently organizing events that make you happy such as going to the restaurant or going out with friends, but you’ll never have a 100% control over this feeling.

However, how do I get to Joy?

Joy is a long-lasting feeling, more the result of self-acknowledgment this time. Joy is something you plant and develop, a bit like a tree. It comes after reflexion and acceptance, as a source of wisdom.

Joy is realizing that all the gold is around you, that you don’t need much to enjoy life. It’s being content with your life. You don’t need to have an enormous house, fancy cars, a swimming pool, home-cinema, and all the rest.

Joy is nothing but self-consciousness and control.
You’ve got it in you, you just need to work on it.

Therefore, the aim of this website will be to help you develop skills and habits helping you in the achievement of your life. There shall be posts directed towards Happiness and others directed towards Joy.

I’ll give you a head start to the website. Joy and Happiness are related. Somebody who has developed Joy will be more inclined to spend happy moments and somebody who experiences a lot of happy events is likely to come to this self-acknowledgment.

After a prominent period of multiple moments of happiness, you may realise that this is all you really want and you don’t need any more to have a joyful life; however, you can also be joyful even though you think happiness is missing.





It is hard to feel Joy if there are no happy moments, but not impossible, otherwise we wouldn’t be here right now.

By focusing a bit more on the positives of your life, your dog, your family, your goals, your friends and a bit less on the negatives, you’ll realize that there is much more to enjoy in life than there is to hate.





And if ever you think there is no happiness around you (or more like you haven’t found it yet), remember everything is temporary. Nothing lasts forever, even the roughest of times.


Keep your head up, focus on yourself and your goals. Use your will to be joyful, which will eventually become your biggest strength.
